Holiday home in Croatia

Vila Elena is a holiday home with a swimming pool in Golaš, Croatia, not far from the splendid port of Rovinj. The present-day building, a highly successful combination of old and new, is the result of a radical renovation of the original structure built in 1850. Ceramic surfaces from ABK’s Interno 9 collection were chosen by architect Dino Vodopija and owner Maja Dujmić to introduce an element of continuity between the various spaces, while maintaining the sense of lightness and space they wanted to convey to guests. The metallic inspirations of Interno 9, chosen in colours Silver, Mud and Dark, fit in perfectly with the stylistic references of the entire project, where traditional elements of Istrian architecture are combined with modern industrial style furnishings.
